Sept 16 - Sept 20

I'm late again posting our school update but here we go...

Monday started off pretty rough. As I was fixing breakfast for everyone, my youngest was playing with the pots and pans in the kitchen. If you're familiar with Pampered Chef products, you know how heavy the stone products are.  He picked up the large bar pan. This is a very heavy stone. I asked him to please put it up because I didn't want him to drop it and break it and I explained to him that if it dropped on him, it would hurt. Well, he went to put it up and when he did, he hit the pan on the oven door and then dropped it and it landed on his finger. Now it didn't break but he was screaming. I thought it had just smashed his finger. I picked up the pan and then picked him up when I realized he was bleeding and bleeding pretty bad. Somehow it sliced his finger. I'm still not quite sure how it did this because there are no sharp edges. Anyways, it was bad and I thought we might have to get stitches. My oldest son called my husband to come home while I held a paper towel and applied pressure to his finger. I finally got it to quit bleeding by holding it up and keeping pressure on it. We didn't take him to the ER because my husband said they wouldn't be able to stitch it because of where the cut was located. We bandaged him up and gave him some Tylenol and it made him feel better. Believe it or not, we still did school after we all got calmed down and thankfully the rest of the day went smoothly.

Here are some pics from our week.

Football

I haven't had to time to update the blog but my oldest son is playing football now. He has wanted to play since he was about 4 years old. We've had 2 games now. We won the first and came so close to winning the second. It was a close game. Here are some pics of him playing. He loves it and feels pretty important that he gets to play at the High School stadium.

Fun Night Out

As I posted in an earlier blog, it can get hard when you have more than one child to give each child 1 on 1 time. This month we've been taking each child out by themselves. Tonight was my youngest sons night. It really doesn't matter what we do, the point is just to spend some time together. At only 2 years old, I wasn't quite sure where we would go. He said he wanted to go to church, but I informed him that no one was there and the doors would be locked so we decided to go to Walmart instead. He enjoyed himself, he got to look at everything he wanted to look at it and even touch it without getting in trouble and I found some things on clearance that I could use, so we were both happy. Notice how I said use, not need. That's another story, my oldest son says I can't go in a store without looking at the clearance and claims I have a problem. LOL. But back to our night out. We went to a few other stores to waste some time and last, we went to our favorite frozen yogurt place. Somehow I only managed to get one picture.

My daughter went out last week with Daddy. They went bowling and out for yogurt as well. Next month, we'll swap it up and I'll take her and Daddy will take the boys out. Should be fun! What about you? Do you do anything with your children individually? If so, what do you do and how often?

Our Beach Vacation

We just got back from the beach. We had a great vacation! The weather was awesome and a bonus to going on the off season, no crowds! We left on Friday and arrived in Gulf Shores, AL later that day. We hit the beach first thing. Friday night, we went to the Wharf in Orange Beach where they had a FREE light show and street dance. The kids had so much fun watching the show and dancing in the street. Saturday morning, we hit the beach again. That afternoon, we had reservations for a dolphin cruise. Wow! That was cool. This was our first time going on a dolphin cruise. My oldest son loves dolphins and is constantly researching these animals so he's the main reason we booked this tour in the first place. We went with a company called Cold Mill Fleet and if you go to Gulf Shores, I highly recommend them. They are located in Orange Beach at Bear Point Marina. They are very friendly, make the cruise very enjoyable and guarantee that you'll see dolphins. We ate at Flippers restaurant when we got off the boat and then headed back to the condo. I took the older 2 kiddos out to play putt putt later that night. Sunday morning, we went to the zoo. At this zoo, they have a lot of animals such as goats, donkeys, sheep, etc that you can feed. The kids really enjoyed this part. It was very hot though, so we couldn't wait to get back to the beach. We went out souvenir shopping Sunday night. We found another bonus to going in the off season. I scored t shirts for all 3 kids for only 3.99 each. Everything is on clearance! We headed back home on Monday with a tear in our eyes, we weren't quite ready to come home. Here are pictures from our trip. Enjoy!
