Homeschooling and PJ's

While at the soccer fields one afternoon at my son's practice, a little girl came up and started talking to myself and my two younger kids. She had a t shirt on from a local school. She said to us, "I bet you don't know where I go to school." Well obviously her shirt said it, so I "guessed" the name of her school. She looked at me with amazement and said, "How did you know know?" I then explained to her, I saw it on her shirt. She then said, "we have to wear this shirt when we go on field trips." She then asked my daughter where she went to school and my 6 year old's response was, "We homeschool and we can wear our pajamas." I absolutely loved her answer and couldn't help but smile.

What we've been up to

Well it's definitely been a while since I posted so I figured I'd update with some pictures.

Wizard of Oz play

The Nature Center had a creatures of the night event and we went. It was a lot of fun! The kids got to hold a snake, see an alligator and some owls. We got to go on 3 hikes and one was at night with flashlights. They showed us how to hunt wolf spiders with our flashlights and then we watched "A Bug's Life" on the inflatable screen. The kids loved it and our little guy fell asleep during the movie.

Back to school

Well it's been back to school week for us.  (In case you're wondering why we start back so early,  it's because we take a long break for Thanksgiving and Christmas.) We had a kick off party on Tuesday. It included our first day of school pictures plus lunch at CiCis Pizza. Wednesday started the academics part of it.  For the first week,  I'd say it went well.  Enjoy our pics from the week.

Down by the Creek!

I love water. I think it's nice and relaxing to listen and watch the water. Our town has a creek walk and lately we've been wearing it out. It's so nice down there and we love to walk it. Here are some pictures from our walks.
